Getting Around

  • To Fredericksburg from Kerrville: Take Highway 16 North for 22 miles. At Highway 290 East, turn right, and the main shopping district will be ahead.
  • To Luckenbach: Continue on Highway 290 East for approximately 6 miles. Turn right at RR1376 (near KOA Kampgrounds and Shell Gas Station), then right onto Luckenbach Town Loop just before the South Grape Creek Bridge.
  • To Enchanted Rock: Take Ranch Road 965 North for 18 miles. The park entrance will be on the left.

Scenic Route Back to Kerrville

For a beautiful return ride from Fredericksburg/Luckenbach to Kerrville:

  1. Take Highway 87 West to Ranch Road 648.
  2. Turn left on Ranch Road 648 and follow it through Doss, Texas.
  3. Continue on 648/783 until you reach Highway 290.
  4. Turn right on Highway 290, then left on Ranch Road 783.
  5. Follow Ranch Road 783 back to Kerrville.

This 50-mile route offers stunning views, especially in the spring or early summer when wildflowers are in bloom. Don’t forget your camera!
